Civil Works, Inc. is the Prime Consultant for this 1 mile project including 3R and Safety Improvements. The design includes Milling & Resurfacing the existing pavement and Correcting pavement cross slopes at the buffered/parking lane or outside lane within the crosswalk path to meet ADA, Restripe the inside lanes to 10’ and provide a 13’ outside lane for shared use, Redesign and re-grade the C&G/SWK to improve the drainage, Reconstruct damaged sidewalks, C&G, and Upgrade Ramps, Extend 4 existing bulb-outs & design SWK to provide SWK >4′, Design bulb-out areas at the 3500 Blk and install or extend existing trench drains, PTMS 87-5171 – Upgrade to a permanent installation, Update all substandard ground-mounted signs, Design special emphasis markings at all crossings, Design 8 microwave vehicle detection systems to replace video, Upgrade pedestrian detectors and detector signs, Relocate/design new light poles with <32" clear sidewalk, Trim/Relocate/Remove Trees for Clear Sight and < 4' clear sidewalk. This project was completed on time.
