CWI served as a subconsultant to AECOM under the Port Miami General Consultant Prime Agreement, providing engineering design and inspection services from 2012 to 2014. Ms. Bell led the engineering staff on various projects at Port Miami.

Project Goals

  • Deliver engineering expertise for Port Miami improvement projects.
  • Support design, review, and contract administration for construction efforts.
  • Provide field observation and inspection services to ensure quality and adherence to specifications.
  • Contribute to the creation and maintenance of accurate Port infrastructure data using GIS technology.
  • Document project progress and completion for close-out purposes.

Project Outcome

  • Successful completion of various Port Miami projects, including wharf panel replacements, cruise terminal renovations, seawall construction, and building repairs.
  • Verified adherence to construction contract specifications through field inspections and documentation.
  • Established a GIS/Citrix configuration to enhance Port infrastructure data management.
  • Compiled detailed close-out documentation with photos and punch lists for completed projects.
  • Aided in maintaining the structural integrity of Port facilities through inspections of car park cracks, seawall joints, and building components.
