In the role of Vice President, Managing Principal, CWI will count on you to:
- Identify prospective projects, meet with clients, develop Letters of Response (LOR’s), Technical Proposals for Targeted Projects.
- Work as a key member of a highway/roadway design team for moderate to large projects and work independently on smaller projects.
- Ensure the projects developed by CWI staff meet or exceed the design standards required by Federal, State of Local Agencies.
- Assist in the project management of larger projects, as needed.
- Ensure projects are developed in accordance with the approved scope of work, completion schedule and budget.
- Serve as technical liaison with clients on project efforts and coordinates technical efforts within discipline areas.
- Manage the following work elements: day-to-day communication (verbal and written) with the client, support and advise junior engineers and technical staff, write reports and technical memos, coordinate with sub-consultants.
- Perform other duties as needed.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering
- 15+ years post Professional Engineering License experience in Florida
- Proficient knowledge of Bentley OpenRoads, and/or Autodesk Civil3D, FDOT Menus
- Knowledge of FDOT Procedures and Policies
- Knowledge of FDOT Districts 4 and 6 preferred
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- An attitude of commitment to being a leader and active participant of our Civil Works Team
Work schedule: Enjoy a four-day work week! Monday through Thursday, 7:00 AM to 6:00 PM. On rare occasions, Fridays and/or weekend work may be needed, with ample notice provided.
Location: This is a full-time, in-office position that can be located in our Doral or Plantation, FL office.
Travel: Travel is minimal and primarily local during the business day, although some out-of-the-area and overnight travel may be required according to the needs of the business. Most travel would occur between the Plantation and Miami offices.
